Pending Orders & Auto-Cancellation Explained

Updated July 28, 20261 views

Placed an order but didn't finish the payment? Nothing bad happens. Your order is reserved, not owed — this page explains exactly what we hold, for how long, and what happens if you never come back.

The Timeline

WhenWhat happens
Order placedThe order and its invoice are created and your server IP is reserved on it. Nothing is charged and nothing is owed
+4 hours unpaidA friendly email with a link back to your order, in case the payment page failed
+3 daysA reminder — your order is still reserved and one payment away from activation
+7 daysFinal notice with the exact cancellation date
+14 daysThe order is cancelled and its invoice voided, automatically

Pay at any point in that window and your license activates within minutes.

A Pending Order Is Not a Debt

An unpaid new-order invoice is fundamentally different from a renewal invoice:

  • No late fee, ever. Late fees exist only for renewals, where a service was already delivered. See Due Dates & Late Fees
  • Nothing goes to collections and your account is never penalised
  • If you don't pay, the order simply expires — that's it

What Cancellation Means

When the cancellation date passes, the order flips to Cancelled and the invoice to Void — together, always. There is no fee, and nothing lingers on your account. Want the product after all? Just place a new order.

Ordered Twice by Mistake?

You can't be double-charged this way. If you order the same product for the same server IP while an order for it is still open, we don't create a duplicate — we bring you back to your existing order and its invoice. You'll see a note on the order page when this happens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My invoice says "unpaid" — do I owe money? A: No. A new-order invoice is a payment option, not an obligation. It either gets paid (license activates) or it expires with the order.

Q: I paid by bank transfer — will my order be cancelled while it processes? A: No. A payment in progress pauses the timeline. Once it settles, the order activates normally.

Q: My order was cancelled. Can I restore it? A: Cancelled orders stay cancelled, but reordering takes under a minute — same product, same IP, fresh invoice at the current price.

Q: Why do you cancel at all? A: So your account only ever shows invoices that mean something. Stale unpaid invoices confuse everyone — you, our agents, and our accounting.
